Get your M-Bus and wM-Bus data into a Trend BMS

Link reads all your M-Bus and wM-Bus meters and exposes the values as Modbus TCP registers, ready for your Trend Building Management System (BMS/BEMS) — without sending a technician into the field.

Benefits

How Link solves your Trend BMS integration

01

One standard Trend strategy

Same register layout for every meter, regardless of make — no special strategy per meter type.

02

Free choice of register

You decide which M-Bus value goes where. Link suggests automatically for known meter types.

03

M-Bus and wM-Bus in one

Wired directly, wireless via RelAir R2M — the same Modbus TCP registers for both, ready for Trend.

04

100% remote onboarding

See every wM-Bus meter within range, select the right ones and load encryption keys without a technician on site.

05

Future-proof

Link follows the latest OMS/M-Bus standard and is continuously updated with new meter types and features.

06

No programming

Set-up via the browser, locally or remotely — no coding and no special software.

Capacity: Link reads up to 50 meters. The Modbus TCP feed to the Trend BMS exposes up to 6 meters per Link — if you have more, they can be spread across several Links or forwarded via MQTT.
Step by step

From order to data in your Trend BMS

1

Order

TRB143 from a local reseller (and RelAir R2M from Relay.de if you need wM-Bus). The Link license with Modbus function is bought online from EasySense — or order a complete, ready-made solution.

2

Install

Mount the TRB143 on a DIN rail in a cabinet or in a wall-mounted enclosure. Connect RelAir to the M-Bus port if needed. Install the Link software and activate the license.

3

Scan and select meters

Start the meter scan and list every M-Bus and wM-Bus meter in range. Select and whitelist the ones to be read.

4

Send keys remotely

AES keys are entered and configured 100% remotely — no technician needs to visit the box, not even for later additions.

5

Set up register mapping

Link automatically suggests Modbus registers for known meter types. Build one standard Trend strategy that fits every meter.

6

Choose output

Modbus TCP to the Trend BMS (up to 6 meters exposed per Link unit). MQTT to EasySense Connect or your own broker is an option you can add when needed.

7

Verify

Check the telegram age per measuring point to confirm that data flows correctly into the Trend BMS.

🔧
Local configuration — via Link's own web page (requires a local connection over Ethernet), always available, no subscription needed.
☁️
Remote configuration — via a subscription to EasySense Connect (requires an internet connection over Ethernet or mobile network), optional, not a requirement.
